Production Manager – Automotive Collision Repair | Multiple Locations
QLD | VIC | NSW
Are you an experienced Production Manager who knows how to keep a busy collision repair workshop moving?
Due to continued growth across a national network, we are seeking experienced Production Managers for opportunities across multiple locations in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.
These roles suit hands-on leaders who understand the collision repair process, can coordinate people and workflow effectively, and know how to deliver quality repairs while meeting demanding production targets.
The Role
As Production Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day flow of work through the workshop, ensuring vehicles progress efficiently from arrival through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating daily workshop production
- Allocating work across technicians and trades
- Monitoring jobs to ensure repair timelines are achieved
- Identifying bottlenecks and keeping workflow moving
- Managing productivity, efficiency and workshop performance
- Working closely with estimators, parts, customer service and site management
- Ensuring repairs meet required quality standards
- Maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety and compliance
- Coaching and supporting workshop staff
- Helping create an accountable, positive and high-performing team culture
About You
You'll ideally come from the automotive collision repair industry and have a strong understanding of workshop production and repair processes.
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Workshop Controller, Workshop Manager or similar
- Strong collision repair industry knowledge
- Excellent workflow planning and organisational skills
- The ability to lead and motivate tradespeople
- A strong understanding of productivity and workshop KPIs
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills
- High standards around quality and safety
- The ability to perform in a busy, deadline-driven environment
Trade qualifications within the collision repair industry would be highly regarded.
