Description
Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
Join our team as a Product Manager within our Consumer Product team. This role can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne. You will be accountable for the strategy and execution of our collections and recoveries platform, helping Australia and New Zealand’s largest lenders and businesses optimise collections performance and make smarter, fairer decisions across the end‑to‑end credit lifecycle.
You will be a key leader in defining the product vision for our collections and recoveries platform, owning the roadmap, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative collections and recoveries solutions that drive measurable outcomes for our clients and growth for Equifax. We are modernising our collections platforms and processes, so you’ll be balancing strategic change with hands-on delivery in an evolving technology environment.
What you’ll do
-
Own the Market Strategy: Lead the overall Market Understanding for your platform. This includes driving market analysis, industry research, and deep-dive competitive evaluations to unlock and articulate high-potential growth opportunities.
-
Define the Future Product: Define the product's next chapter. You will assess and own strategic partnerships, define clear product requirements based on market needs, and decide on build, buy, or partner approaches. You'll also facilitate the development of the commercial model and packaging.
-
Drive Product Vision and Roadmap: Translate the product vision into an actionable strategy. This means developing strong business cases, defining the product roadmap across the Product Delivery Value Stream, and meticulously tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure objective attainment.
-
Deliver and Launch with Impact: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle. You will write precise requirements, prepare for seamless product releases, and actively contribute to the prioritization of opportunities and critical product trade-offs.
-
Accelerate Growth & Portfolio Success: Ensure the product’s commercial success. You will track and monitor performance against revenue and margin targets, manage the portfolio to align new capabilities with customer demand, and use data analysis to drive key lifecycle decisions (enhancements and sunsetting).
What you’ll need
-
Proven Product Leadership: 5-7 years of experience in product management or business analysis within a product-led organization, ideally in Technology, Financial Services, or Data & Analytics.
-
Required hands-on experience utilizing Agile methodologies and/or formal project management frameworks.
-
Demonstrated fundamental experience in writing detailed product requirements—you must be able to articulate the 'what,' 'who,' 'why,' and 'how' of the solution, focusing on business value (ROI).
-
Proven ability to organize, influence, and coordinate efforts effectively within a complex, highly matrixed corporate environment.
-
Strong preference for candidates with a demonstrated understanding of delivering cloud-based products and services.
-
Experience with core product tools is preferable (e.g., Aha, JIRA, Figma).
-
A plus if you have experience applying Design Thinking principles for innovation, including the use of personas, empathy mapping, prototyping, and iteration models to solve real-world needs.
What could set you apart
-
Experience in the Collections and Recoveries sector.
