About the job:
The Assistant Brand Manager- OTC is responsible for a significant contribution to the OTC portfolio through delivery via product and promotional innovation to consumers, launches, go-to-market, packaging, claims and promotions. You will be a project champion who can influence cross-functional stakeholders to ensure flawless execution. You will participate in the development, implementation and post analysis of marketing programs, whilst consulting with key internal and external customers as required.
Main Responsibilities:
Successful implementation of brand strategies through appropriate elements of the promotional mix
Contributing to the annual growth planning process
Interpret brand performance data, identify and prioritise strategies and actions to better deliver brand positioning and improve brand performance
Research and analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activities to develop insights and strategies for brand activation initiatives
Utilise consumer insights to write effective communication briefs
Help support digital strategic implementation working closely with the digital team to develop a clear content strategy that meets the brand's online marketing objectives
Play a key role in developing localised campaigns, liaising with Legal and Reg teams for approval and Media & Digital for execution with agencies
Design and execute innovative activation plans that leverage presence at POS, digital & social media, and other channels.
Help lead the design of go-to-market programs to ensure achievement of objectives around brand activation and digital presence
Management of A&P budget and approval governance process.
Work collaboratively alongside the cross-functional brand team (innovation, regulatory affairs, shopper, sales, finance and other Commercial Business Units) to identify risk and opportunities for the brand
Liaise with global and regional marketing teams (as required within role) to deliver breakthrough activations across advertising, communications, product experiences, and co-marketing efforts.
Manage relations with advertising and other external agencies
Optimise brand investment opportunities through Return on Investment (ROI) analysis and successful management of Advertising and Promotion budget
Ensure all business and promotional activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards, including ASMI and Opella code of conduct
About you:
Minimum 2 years brand marketing experience within FMCG/FMCH or pharmaceutical preferred
Well-developed financial acumen - Understand financial principles and be comfortable to help manage a budget
Can demonstrate effective application of market research principles, techniques and data
Marketing management experience with ability to trade off the most effective mix of touch points to achieve communications objectives
Implement complex marketing programs; managing multiple priorities as needed, on time and to budget.
Project champion who can lead all relevant parties in flawless execution
Excellent planning, time management and presentation skills.
Autonomy and ability to balance long-term strategic priorities with short-term business needs, team spirit, persuasion, and influence, highly collaborative with all cross-functional partners, flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing business environment.
